Having previously served in ombuds positions as well as having held various formal roles within both academic and student affairs units, Deborah Dodge brings a wealth of experience in conflict resolution, mediated dialoguing, and fostering inclusive environments in higher education.  She holds a master鈥檚 degree in Higher Ed Administration from Vanderbilt University, focused on Leadership, Policy, and Organizations. She is one among a small cadre of ombuds practitioners worldwide who have earned the Certified Organizational Ombuds credential. Deborah is an active member of the International Ombuds Association, for which she chairs the Eligibility Committee for Individual Practitioner Certification. Her poetry, 鈥鈥, was recently featured in the Journal of the International Ombuds Association.

Deborah serves 涩里番 as a confidential, ombnipartial resource for faculty, staff, students, and other College affiliates. She strives to empower individuals and disputants to best resolve or manage their conflicts and to better navigate challenges that may arise, relative to their campus experiences. As the College Ombudsperson, Dodge provides resources in alignment with the profession's ethical principles of confidentiality, informality, impartiality (her ombnipartiality), and independence.

Dodge鈥檚 extensive background in conflict resolution and organizational dynamics includes years of experience working directly with diverse campus populations. It informs a nuanced understanding of the challenges facing the higher education enterprise and its stakeholders. Her collaborative approach focuses on building individual capacity to navigate conflict with confidence and clarity. In addition to her ombuds certification, Deborah is a certified Mediator through the Social Justice Mediation Institute and certified Dialogue Facilitator through the Constructive Dialogue Institute. She has earned certificates in Conflict Coaching, Higher Education Law and Policy, and Peacemaking Circles. Deborah is currently pursuing a certificate in Conflict Resolution with Cornell University.
